Part P
Part P of the Building Regulations state that a significant proportion of all electrical work carried out in dwellings in England and Wales has to be notified to the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) department.
Operatives carrying out electrical work can become members of a competent person’s scheme which will allow the operative to self-certify the work and scheme provider will notify LABC on the operative’s behalf. No further visits or costs will be incurred from LABC.
BPEC has developed a training manual for Part P Defined Scope aimed at all industries within the building services engineering sector.
It goes without saying that the safety of both the installer and the customer is of paramount importance. The courses are designed to ensure that simple and safe installation practices are established from the start and followed throughout their duration.

Electricity for Plumbers
Electricity for Plumbers, Gasfitters and Heating Engineers is a training and assessment programme for experienced plumbing and heating installers who wish to expand their knowledge of electrical aspects of the appliances related to their day to day work. It is designed to provide basic knowledge of electrical installation skills, understanding of circuitry and a logical approach to fault finding using a multi-meter.

The Combination and High Efficiency Boilers course is for experienced plumbing and heating installers who wish to expand their knowledge of these appliances in order to help with their day to day work. It is designed to provide better understanding of these increasingly complicated appliances.
